Surgery for Shoulder instability involves removing dead or damaged tissue and repairing the tear in the healthy tissue. Small anchors are attached to the socket bone and glenoid labrum tissue are stitched to these anchors. The stitches are then tightened to restabilize the joint. It is often completed through a shoulder arthroscopy. This makes recovery faster and easier. But sometimes, for more severe injuries, you might need open shoulder surgery to repair it properly.
