Deformity correction aims to restore proper alignment, stability, and function of the foot and ankle using modern surgical and non-surgical techniques.

How Do I Prepare for Deformity Correction Surgery?

- Smoking cessation for improved healing.
- Counselling regarding postoperative care, weight-bearing restrictions, and frame management (if using Ilizarov).

- Surgery under regional or general anesthesia.
- Bone cuts (osteotomies) to realign the foot or ankle.
- Soft tissue procedures (tendon transfers, ligament releases/repairs).
- Fixation using screws, plates, rods or external frames.

- Wound closure and application of cast/boot/splint.
